Approved personal session Provider for Beginning Level Students
Steph Strauss is an approved personal session provider for Beginning Level SE™ students to support your learning, embodiment, and integration throughout the training.
These sessions are designed to deepen your understanding of the work from the inside out, helping you attune to your own nervous system while developing the capacity and skillfulness needed as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
For SE Students
Whether you are new to SE or actively moving through the Beginning Level curriculum, personal sessions offer a grounded space to:
Experience SE principles directly in your own system
Strengthen your tracking skills and somatic awareness
Explore your patterns of activation, settling, and resourcing
Develop embodied confidence in the pacing and rhythm of SE work
Cultivate a deeper relationship with your nervous system and its innate intelligence
Steph brings trauma-informed care, warmth, inclusivity, and clarity into each session, supporting you in a way that feels accessible, empowering, and rooted in your unique learning style.
What to Expect
Personal Sessions give Beginning Level students a lived experience of what an SE session feels like from the inside. While not a therapy session, the work often brings more clarity, awareness, and connection to your own nervous system.
Sessions tend to center around what feels most alive or present for you in real time. Because SE is a bottom‑up modality, receiving the work directly is one of the most valuable ways to deepen your understanding of pacing, titration, resourcing, and tracking.

A gentle, collaborative, body-led pace
Support in slowing down and sensing your internal cues
Space to notice patterns of activation and settling
Attuned guidance grounded in SE principles
A focus on physiology over story

Scope of Practice
Steph supports your nervous system in moving toward more regulation and ease by helping you slow down, notice your body, and follow what feels manageable. She offers somatic tools, grounding, resourcing, and nervous system education…all at the pace of your physiology. She does not process trauma stories, analyze the past, diagnose, or provide talk therapy. Steph is not a licensed therapist; her work is rooted in Somatic Experiencing®, embodied movement, mindfulness, and Tibetan Buddhist teachings, and is intended to support regulation and awareness rather than clinical mental health treatment. Choose your preferred day and time. If you don’t see a slot that works for you, email info@stephstraussmindfulness.com and we’ll find something that does.
Select single session or purchase 5 sessions and save $25.
Follow the prompts to create an account.
Please complete your payment online. If you’d rather use Venmo or Zelle, just send me an email and we’ll arrange it.
You’ll receive a confirmation email with all details.

Pricing
50-minute session – $110 (Limited number of sliding-scale spots are available, email info@stephstraussmindfulness.com to inquire)
SE students receive 1 personal session credit toward their SEP for every session.
After each session, Steph will send you a signed session log with your name and the session date so you can receive your credit.
Preparing for Your Session
To make the most of your time together:
Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can notice your body
Have a blanket, pillow, or anything that helps you settle
Bring a notebook if you'd like to track insights for training
Come as you are—there is no need to prepare or analyze beforehand

This work is relationship-based, body-first, and deeply personal. I am honored to walk alongside you as you build your capacity, confidence, and clarity within the SE framework.
